Backflow incidents can lead to drinking water contamination.  Orange Vale Water Company's cross-connection control program ensures that the water in our pipes remains safe to drink.  To prevent backflow incidents, Orange Vale Water Company:

• Requires the installation and maintenance of backflow prevention devices where applicable
• Regularly inspects and tests backflow devices in our service area
• Enforces all relevant regulations
